Thoughts Behind Our Company Name Change

Since our founding in 1910, we have been pioneers in the industrial gas sector,
growing in tandem with Japan’s industrial development.
Our ambitions have extended beyond Japan’s borders.
In 2020, we transitioned to a holding company structure,
establishing a framework for group-wide management
and marking a major milestone in our growth
as a leading global industrial gas company originating from Japan.
Taiyo Nippon Sanso, our domestic operating company in Japan
and the origin of our global expansion,
will embark on a bold new chapter on April 1, 2026.

We are returning to our roots in industrial gases
while driving further evolution. At the same time,
we are also committed to sharing our core values globally—from Japan.     
In keeping with this vision,
we will align our corporate name with our holding company,
Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation,
and change our company name to Nippon Sanso.
Our growth has been driven by the universality and scalability of industrial gases, 
alongside the ongoing transformation of our core products and business model.
The word “Sanso” means oxygen in Japanese—our point of origin and our symbol. Our new name reflects our commitment to growth 
by “making our origin the starting point of tomorrow.”
