1. Background to the Sponsorship
TNSC’s core products include oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. These industrial gases come from atmospheric air and support many fields, from healthcare to semiconductor manufacturing. As a company that works with air, a resource from nature, TNSC values the interconnected cycle of air, water, and land, and sees protecting the environment of the entire planet—including the oceans—as a key mission. One focus of these efforts is coral reef conservation, which helps protect marine biodiversity. Coral reefs, often called the “rainforests of the sea,” are home to many species. They also help absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, making them essential to marine life. Today, reefs are experiencing major impacts from climate change and other forms of environmental damage. TNSC supports Wonderia YOKOHAMA’s goal of using digital, immersive experiences to inspire awareness of living things and nature. By linking this approach with its coral conservation efforts, TNSC aims to highlight the value of coral reefs and the diversity of life in the ocean.
Effective April 1, 2026, TNSC will change its name to Nippon Sanso Corporation. This sponsorship is one of the initiatives planned under the new name to demonstrate the company’s commitment to building a more sustainable society and share that message with a wide audience.
