As well as developing and manufacturing a variety of devices that use oxygen for home-based care, we contribute to the total Quality of Life (QOL) of patients through such activities as regular checks of devices, remote monitoring systems, and 24-hour emergency delivery of gases for medical care including support for patients who are traveling.
At the same time we are expanding our domestic network by forming tie-ups with distributors and other businesses offering gas devices for medical care. Our Medical Technical Service Center is the facility that promotes this system.
Taiyo Nippon Sanso is also applying its gas technologies in the biotechnology field, in such areas as cryopreservation of research bio-resources, as well as advanced diagnostics and medical care that utilize stable isotopes (SI) and specialty gases.

Medical Technical Service Center, our comprehensive base for development, maintenance checks, and distribution
The Medical Technical Service Center, the core of Taiyo Nippon Sanso’s medical business, develops and imports medical-related devices, performs maintenance checks and repairs, and promotes efficient distribution. The Center not only develops and manufactures various medical devices utilizing oxygen for home-based care, but it also provides support in such areas as the building of remote monitoring systems, round-the-clock emergency distribution of medical gases, and support for patients who are traveling.

Water-18O for PET cancer diagnosis
The FDG-PET examination method for the early diagnosis of cancer has been attracting considerable attention in recent years. Taiyo Nippon Sanso is a manufacturer of Water-18O, an original material for drugs used in FDG-PET examinations.
Taiyo Nippon Sanso is the first manufacturer in the world to use high-purity oxygen to produce Water-18O by distilling and enriching oxygen-18 (18O) to more than 97%, utilizing know-how based on air-separation technology.
