Taiyo Nippon Sanso is listed on the Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya stock exchanges, with over 400 million stocks in circulation held by over 300,000 stockholders (as of March 2005). We take investor relations and the task of information disclosure very seriously, as we do our duty to return profits to our shareholders through continued growth.
Returning Profits to Shareholders
We at Taiyo Nippon Sanso consider returning profits to shareholders one of our most important managerial goals. Two major methods with which we accomplish this are stock dividends and buybacks. Our policy regarding stock dividends is to make consistent payouts while strengthening the company structure and aggressively pursuing new business opportunities.
When determining how to appropriate internal reserves, we also prioritize investment in production facilities and R&D. This helps ensure success over the long-term and a healthy corporate structure.
Investor Communications
In addition to our regular general stockholders meetings, we also hold semi-annual briefings to explain our earnings reports for institutional investors and financial analysts. At these sessions, we use multimedia and other informational presentations to explain our earnings reports, give forecasts, and in general raise understanding of our company and our business.
Furthermore, we post up-to-date information in the IR section of our website and respond to inquiries from individual analysts. Going forward, we wish to enhance even further the information we provide to individual investors.
Improving IR Tools
Taiyo Nippon Sanso publishes a full array of IR tools, from annual reports (full year/English and Japanese) to business reports (full year, mid-term), results flashes (full year, mid-term), and financial summaries (quarterly). These are all published in full in the IR section of our website.
