Relations with Partners

Taiyo Nippon Sanso’s business activities require close cooperation with materials suppliers, construction companies, dealers (which interact with end users), and other partners. We place great value in these partnerships and endeavor to create relationships that are mutually beneficial.
To this end, we have created a system to ensure the fair and impartial selection of business partners and appropriate dealings with subcontractors. We are also strengthening cooperative ties with our network of dealers through the “Taiyo Nippon Sanso Major Club” system.

Fair and Impartial Selection of Business Partners

We at Taiyo Nippon Sanso work to make the selection of procurement and construction business partners open, fair, and impartial, with no favoritism based on nationality, size, previous dealings, or other factors. However, as we focus more on the environment and CSR ourselves, these issues are becoming a part of our selection criteria for companies we choose to work with.

Appropriate Dealings with Subcontractors

With the passage of the revised Law on the Prevention of Delay in the Payment of Subcontracting Charges and Related Matters (“Subcontracting Charges Law”) in April 2004, our obligations and responsibilities toward subcontractor suppliers and construction companies became even more stringent. In response, in April 2005 we created a management system headed by the general managers of legal and general affairs. We also drafted the Subcontractor Transactions Based on the Subcontracting Charges Law guidelinesto guide and ensure appropriate dealings with subcontractors.

“Taiyo Nippon Sanso Major Club” Dealers

A robust dealer system is necessary to deliver industrial and LP gases to end users in a national network that makes these products available everywhere they are needed.
Prior to the October 2004 merger that created Taiyo Nippon Sanso, Nippon Sanso Corporation maintained a network of dealers called the “Nissan-kai,” while Taiyo Toyo Sanso Co., Ltd. had a similar network called the “Saan-kai.” Both of these organizations were precursors to the “Taiyo Nippon Sanso Major Club,” our dealer network officially established in April 2005.
We consider our dealers, with whom we have exclusive agent contracts, to be partners in every sense. Thus, we not only provide them with competitive products, but also offer services ranging from sales support to technical support, management consultations, and more. As a part of our environmental activities, we also offer aid for ISO certification and co-shipping of products.
