Delivering a Safe, Sable Supply of Industrial Gas

Taiyo Nippon Sanso plays an important social role in delivering industrial gas, serving our customers in every step along the way from manufacture to supply and consumption.

Security Management

Under our motto of “Selling gas is selling safety,” we pursue a comprehensive safety management system guided by the presidential safety policy that covers all group, subsidiary, and affiliated companies. We also perform thorough checks to ensure that safety management is being properly implemented through executive inspections and regular audits by the Safety Audit Office.

Presidential Safety Policy

Based on the spirit of “Selling gas is selling safety,” Taiyo Nippon Sanso has codified the following safety policies governing all its activities in order to promote corporate safety and contribute to public safety.


	1.	Guarantee strict compliance with safety-related laws and regulations.
	2.	Remain at the forefront of safety management technology by keeping abreast of the latest safety-related technologies and concepts.
	3.	Contribute to society as a gas professional company by using safety education and training to deepen all employees’ safety-related knowledge and skills.
	4.	Construct a company-wide safety management system subject to continuous improvement and make concrete progress toward safety by performing voluntary safety activities.

Executive Inspections and Safety Audits

We perform executive inspections and safety audits of more than 200 work locations overall, covering Taiyo Nippon Sanso as well as subsidiaries and affiliated companies with key safety and environmental functions.
Fourteen executives from Taiyo Nippon Sanso, including the president and chairman of the board, perform these executive inspections. Each executive is responsible for two to four locations, providing insight from a managerial point of view on performance of safety and environmentally-related activities.
Safety audits are performed by the Safety Audit Office on a three-year cycle in order to guarantee corporate compliance and prevent accidents. Overseas work locations are audited as well.

Safety Award System

The Taiyo Nippon Sanso group gives awards to manufacturing divisions or manufacturing-related subsidiaries that attain a three year record of no accidents that lead to missed work and no facility-related accidents. There is another system for awards to transport companies who excel in terms of safety.
